Tots at the Daily Bar & Grill!

Well, the Daily, which has some of the best burgers in town (and certainly one of the best outdoor patios in the summer), has had tots on the menu for a weekly special -- sloppy sloppy joes. Boy, are they sloppy. But enough about the joes -- we're here for the tots.

The Daily's cooks have the subtleties of cooking the tot down pat. I'd almost say the tots are better than the burger -- they're that good. So good, in fact, that Sheila, one of the great bartenders there, orders the tots just by themselves. Kind of like getting a basket o' fries, but she gets tots instead.



My encounter with the tots was just as tasty. In fact, after seeing Sheila's tots, I was so excited, I couldn't contain myself, hence the shaky shot. Please forgive me, for I know not what I do...



Anyway, I don't know how much longer the Daily will be serving the tasty tot...I got them last night with my Teriyaki Chicken sandwich (also pictured above -- most delicious. I highly recommend), but to be safe, you'd better get there quick.

The coolest thing about the tots at the Daily? They're just the right consistency -- not too crunchy, not too greasy, not too hot. They are practically perfect. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to go get some tots...
